From Paper to Digital
Some of the earliest OIRF newsletters, dating back to the 1980s, were printed and mailed (yes, by postal mail) to practitioners worldwide. These have now been recreated and added to the archive. Even in those early editions, the concept of an “information bridge linking practitioners” inspired both the newsletter’s title and its bridge-themed banners. Many of these early treasures can be found here or in the Treasures from the Vault section.

The Bridge Newsletter
In the early 2000s, “The Bridge” became a regular monthly publication, featuring articles by advisors and directors along with many contributions from the German and European journals precisely translated into English.

Praxis2Practice Today
Since OIRF’s closure in 2018, Carolyn has continued reviewing German and English-language journals, publishing a monthly blog/newsletter – many articles now also included here – featuring timely commentary and resources relevant to daily practice.

We hope this archive supports your knowledge and professional growth in Biological and Energy Medicine.

Ten Dollar Cure When the One Hundred Dollar Cure Fails: “Wheat Belly, Corn Butt and More or Less” The biggest barrier from seeking medical advice in my practice has been the financial considerations, since I do not accept insurance. Actually, it is the other way around. The medical insurance does not accept my medical practice because I practice non-standard alternative/complementary medicine. Because finance is the limiting factor, I educate my patients on self-help and simple steps to regain their health. For my patients I recently [...]

Disease Follows Money “Disease follows the money. Follow the Dollar bills.” Can we actually predict the future of the world economy, finance, war, politics and pandemic outbreaks based on global data into one basket of information? According to David Weinberger, a senior researcher at Harvard University’s Berkman Center for Internet and Society and co-director of the Harvard Library Innovation Laboratory at Harvard Law School, he thinks it is possible. His article, The Machine That Would Predict the Future in Scientific American, [...]

  • FAQ’s - About the MEDISEND Protect from Advanced Medical Systems Based on questions brought up by several members who saw this little device at the Pleo-Sanum Conference in Tempe, Arizona Feb. 17 & 18, 2012 Q: Does this thing really work? Have you measured it? Well, I’ll get one just so I can check it out properly? A: Obviously this lady was a bit skeptical. Although I haven’t personally tested the magnetic field and the distances AMS tells us, I am more than confident in their research and development. [...]

  • The Energetic Resonance Test Is Feasible in a Few Seconds  It Essentially Saves a Lot of Work for the Methods EAV – Kinesiology – RAC Test – Tensor Test The energetic resonance test which the veterans of Electro-Acupuncture according to Dr. Voll (EAV) still know as the “energetic EAV medication test” is often time consuming. Additionally fewer and fewer test preparations are coming available. An absolutely new approach reduces the time involved to a few seconds and is irrespective of test preparations. [...]

  • YEAR END NEWS & UPDATES As Occidental Institute moves into 2012 we will be celebrating our Fortieth (yeah, that is our 40th) Anniversary Year. Version 1.0 of Occidental Institute opened its doors in Weston, Ontario Canada on July 2, 1972. On a personal level I just cannot imagine where all those years have gone. I guess the old saying about “time flies when you’re having fun” must apply, since there are so many exciting and wonderful memories to look back on. From a professional perspective looking back at the [...]

  • BOOK REVIEW Death by (Modern) Medicine White Coats as a Symbol of Life and Death Taken from “the Healthy Planet, St. Louis’ Green & Healthy Living Magazine”, September 2011 Death is part of life. Modern medicine saves lives. At least, I like to believe that, but death by medicine? Death by (Modern) Medicine written by Gary Null and Carolyn Dean is not what you may have in your mind. I have just read their books, Death by Medicine by Gary Null and Death by Modern Medicine by Carolyn Dean, [...]

POINTS OF INTEREST According to Chinese metaphysical studies, everything is connected within the whole universe…….between Heaven, Man/Human and Earth. The study of Feng Shui is the environmental examination of Chi/Qi between Heaven and Earth – Time and Space, and by incorporating the principles of Balance and Harmony. The Christmas celebration happens a few days after the Winter Solstice, when the Water energy is strongest – most Yin time of the year, which is reflected by the cold temperature outside, and the shortest daylight hours during the day. In order [...]

Here is my annual article for “The Bridge”. It is short, but as always the information is priceless. I owe this information to Dr Joseph Hulme, an American needle acupuncturist. Dr. Hulme was approached by the USA military to design a swift, reliable and effective analgesic sequence for the acute, traumatic and painful situations so often found by soldiers in battle zones. I have used this sequence on myself for acute sciatica, on my staff for migraine headaches and on my patients in both acute and chronic situations. I [...]
