When you came into the world, you cried, and everybody around you was glad.
You lived in such a way that when you exit the world everybody cries and you alone smile.

During a time of grief it always seems so strange to try and reduce the accomplishments of a lifetime into a few paragraphs. Looking back I am so very thankful that Dr. Engler willingly and energetically joined our group in Germany this past October. Once again he shared his knowledge and his incredible experience with all of us who were a part of that group (seen here speaking to the Tour #43 group, Oct. 2016).

When I initially met him I was more than a little overwhelmed by his intelligence and research. But the literal twinkle in his eye and a quick bit of humor quickly led to a decades-long friendship. Personally, I will miss my dear friend Ivan and find it hard to believe that he is gone so quickly. But as a colleague, physician, researcher, author and healer the loss to our community of complementary and Biological Medicine is immense and once again represents the passing of an era.

We send heartfelt sympathy to the family, relatives and friends of Prof. Dr. Ivan Engler.

Be at peace my dear friend.
