THE TONGUE HAS THE POWER OF LIFE AND DEATH:  Proverbs 18:21

Dr. Smith: “I’m sorry Mr. Jones, you have cancer of the pancreas and you have only four weeks left to live”.

Many of us have been called to rescue those who have been sentenced to death – it is therefore those to whom I am writing.

The full potential of the spoken word has always been more complex than the words themselves;M. Dingemanse, Max Planck Institute.

All of us long to connect with someone who can identify with our circumstances and share in our day-to-day life. Prayer is just that – a personal experience and intimate connection with our loving Heavenly Father. At the Fairfax Community Church in Virginia, the faithful regularly pray for ailing strangers. Same goes at the Adas Israel synagogue in Washington, the Islamic Center of Maryland in Gaithersburg, and the more than 650 international “Healing Rooms”, one of which is located right here in Post Falls, Idaho.

In churches, mosques, ashrams, “healing rooms”, prayer groups and homes nationwide, millions of Americans offer prayers daily to heal themselves, family, friends, co-workers and even people found through the Internet. Fueled by the upsurge in religious expression in the United States, prayer is the most common complement to medicine, far outpacing acupuncture, herbs, vitamins and other alternative remedies.

Proponents often cite a phenomenon from quantum physics, in which distant particles can affect each other’s behavior in mysterious ways. “When quantum physics was emerging, Einstein wrote about ‘spooky’ interactions between particles at a distance,Krucoff (Duke University Medical Center) said. “That’s at least one very theoretical model that might support notions of distant prayer or distant healing.

Many people are leery of scientists attempting to study prayer. They believe attitudes reflected by scientists have contributed to many of the world’s problems and do not want prayer debased by scientific scrutiny. Society has a tendency to compartmentalize prayer and spirituality. For example, the National Institutes of Health (NIH, in Bethesda, Md.) was criticized for sponsoring a study examining the effect of prayer in alcohol and drug rehabilitation because it violated the constitutional separation of church and state.

Because of such controversies and biases, many scientists prefer to use phrases like “subtle energy fields” when describing their research on prayer-like consciousness. Where prayer is thought of as possessing emotional, subjective connotations, subtle energy research is carried out by objective, “hard” scientists. Nevertheless, many scientists have thought that science and spirituality enhance each other and do not represent incompatible views of the world. One of them was Albert Einstein, who stated “Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind.

Scientific studies demonstrate that individuals who participate in organized religion are physically healthier and longer living (see “Is Religion Good for Your Health?”, Harold Koenig, 1997). For example, they have lower blood pressure, lower incidence of stroke and heart disease. Regarding mental health, they have lower rates of depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and suicide. Prayer ministries can promote health through a variety of social mechanisms, e.g., discouraging unhealthy behaviors and providing social support and a sense of belonging.

Prayer researcher Jack Stucki has carried out double-blind studies evaluating the effects of distant prayer on the body’s electromagnetic fields. In these studies, the electrical activity in both the brain and body surface was measured in subjects in his Colorado Springs laboratory. Nearly 1,000 miles away in California, spiritual groups would either pray or not pray for a subject. The electrical activity measured in the prayed-for subjects was significantly altered compared to controls.

A New Energy?

For those of us associated for any time with Occidental Institute Research Foundation (OIRF), the following is anything but new, but does deserve attention and explanation.

Quantum physics is developing theories with insights into non-local phenomena such as distant prayer. For example, Bell’s theorem, which is supported by experimental evidence, indicates that once subatomic particles have been in contact, they always remain connected. A change in one creates a concurrent change in the other even if they are a universe apart. Some physicists believe that these non-local events are not just limited to sub-atomic particles but underlie everyday events, including prayer. To help understand a number of inexplicable phenomena, including non-local events, many physicists believe that a fifth form of energy exists (in addition to gravity, electromagnetic energy, and strong and weak nuclear energy) that operates on different principles. (See “Quantum Teleportation Between Distant Matter”. Science, Jan 2009)

Perhaps the life-force energy referred to by many medical and spiritual traditions throughout history represents this energy. Is it the energy referred to as prana in India and Tibet, mana by the Polynesians, Yesad in the Jewish Kabalistic tradition, qi in oriental medicine, or in Christianity the Holy Spirit?

Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples! I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones [emphasis added] will cry out.” Luke 19:39-40

All Matter has Memory – Your Words Are Being Recorded

To quote David Van Koevering, “As a scientist and inventor, I have developed various memory retrieval systems. In the 1970’s, I developed a laser optical music system to store sounds on silver oxide film and play the sounds back with keyboards, using modulated light beams. I was amazed when I found the scripture in Joshua 24:27 that says, “And Joshua said unto all the people, ‘Behold, this stone shall be a witness unto us; for it hath heard all the words of the LORD which He said unto us. It shall be therefore a witness unto you, lest you deny your

God.” Was this Old Testament quantum physicist saying that matter has memory? Is this man, who called for and observed the sun standing still in the heavens, telling us that the stone is listening? This is the man who sounded a frequency that cancelled the frequencies of matter in the walls of Jericho, thereby dissolving their atomic lattice structure with his shout and song. Did this man say the rocks are listening?

As I studied both quantum theory and scripture, revelation came. I learned that Gerald Feinberg, a physicist at Columbia University, named a certain subatomic particle that he found in Einstein’s math, after the Greek word tachys, meaning “swift.” He called this superluminal particle a tachyon. This particle moved faster than light! If tachyons can be proven to exist and anything that moves faster than light can be found, scientists will have to explain how something can appear before its cause. For instance, if a scientific test was set up to look for this elusive faster than-light tachyon, and the computer started at 12:00 noon counting forward through the test sequence, the test result wouldn’t be at 12:01 or later. It would show the effect before the cause at 11:59 or earlier. Scientists don’t have computers that count backwards and don’t accept results that appear before the cause. But wait! Two thirds of your Bible got to mankind before the event or cause! All prophecy is the result of facts before the event. All creativity comes before the actual physical reality! What is a vision? What is a word of knowledge? It is seeing, knowing, getting information before the causation.

When you see your future, you are getting information faster than the speed of light through a means of streaming superluminal particles. The barrier of light speed is bridged from this subluminal realm to the higher bandwidth of the superluminal realm by the Holy Spirit.

Something like Gerald Feinberg’s tachyon exists in all matter. It is just above, or faster than the speed of light. We know it’s there because we find the results of such in the very fact of prophecy, or in the concept of words of knowledge, and even the Bible itself. These are proofs that the potential and possibilities of future promises or information is flowing to us.

The superluminal tachyon-like connectors exists! That faster-than-light particle in all matter receives and remembers or records photons [BioPhoton unit – OIRF] that shine on matter as in the photoelectric effect. Modulated photons go into all matter, reside in the vortex of superluminal faster-than-light particles, and knock electrons out. This photoelectric effect is how my modulated light musical instruments worked in the 1970’s. That is how CD players and DVD players work now.

Today, it is not difficult to believe that matter has memory, because most of us have tiny memory sticks or memory cards that record or store information from our cameras and computers. Information flowing into matter and recalling it is common-place. Photons from all light sources reflect from your body and off your belongings. Those information carrying photons go into all matter, including walls, your ring, and your watch. This information—even what we say and think—is modulating or moving through the connectedness of all atomic structures. Modulated photons go in and electrons come out. That is why Joshua said, “This stone has heard.” Every word, action, and deed done in the flesh has been recorded.” (end of quote)

And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest. Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet. Ezekiel 37:3-5, 10

Missionaries Roland and Heidi Baker, Iris Ministries, have over 100 documented instances of raising the dead through the power of prayer. The deaf hear, the lame walk, the blind see, the dead are raised to life. (Ministry Today Magazine, by Hope Flinchbaugh – “Miracles in Mozambique”.)

Electromagnetic Energy:

Frequency: Electromagnetic energy [AMS system – OIRF] represents one mechanism by which prayer can be transformed into healing power. Although all humans generate such energy, spiritual healers seem to be unique (see How Prayer Heals by Dr. Walter Weston, 1998). For example, whereby most people emit a variable electromagnetic frequency from their hands, healers emit a steady 7.8-hertz frequency (hertz is the number of waves that pass a fixed point per unit of time, e.g., cycles per second). [Reference MORA therapy – OIRF]

Perhaps because it is identical to the Earth’s resonant frequency, this frequency appears to have special healing significance. For example, in mice it can heal cancer induced using a lower frequency. This indicates that some frequencies are life enhancing and others are not. Touch healers have been shown to transmit this 7.8-hertz, life-enhancing frequency to others through prayer-like consciousness.

Voltage: The body’s cumulative electrical potential can be immense. Researchers have shown that spiritual healers’ hands can emit over 200 volts; non-healers produced no more than 4 volts. Because such voltages are approximately one billion times stronger than brain-wave voltages and 100-million times stronger than those in the heart, their potential impact on the human body is enormous. It is conceivable for healers to “raise the dead” in the same sense as heart defibrillators.

Human Energy Fields: Many healers believe that energy fields surround the human body. Most people at some level can sense them. It explains the intuitive feelings one has for another, including instant dislikes or physical chemistry. The halos surrounding spiritual beings in many traditions supposedly represent one higher manifestation of these fields.

Barbara Brennan, a former NASA physicist, has developed a training program to enhance people’s inherent capability to perceive these fields (see Hands of Light, 1988). [Reference MORA color light therapy – OIRF]

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. Genesis 1:3

Regeneration Potential: Various animal studies support the theory that energy-fields possess the blueprint for the physical body, for example salamanders. Children also appear to have this capability. Specifically, if medically permitted to do so, they can regenerate the severed tip of a finger (as personally experienced by this author), including the same fingerprint. Given these results, it is conceivable that the therapeutic manipulation of energy fields could enhance the regenerative potential of an injured spinal cord. Possibilities are only limited by the mind.

From the Heart? Healers believe that strong emotions are stored in energy fields and that the heart has access to them through the heart chakra. Dr. Paul Pearsall (The Heart’s Code, 1998) observed that many heart-transplant recipients assume the donor’s uniquely idiosyncratic behaviors, including, musical tastes, food preferences, sexual desires and vocabulary usage.

All of the body’s 75 trillion cells have some sort of memory ability. The heart’s cellular memory potential is especially significant because it is considered the physical body’s most powerful energy generator, and its millions of cells beat in unison.

Dr. Pearsall cites experiments showing a simultaneous synchronization and exchange of heart energy between non-interacting individuals sitting in the same room. Consistent with the heart’s poetic role, this energy resonates between individuals like tuning forks. This ability to exchange information with others combined with the heart’s ability to remember provides one possible explanation on how prayer may influence another person. Prayer, even at great distance, can modify the electrical activity on the body where the heart chakra is supposedly located.

Can Collective Consciousness Magnify Group Prayer?

Synchronization of heart energy between individuals provides one mechanism whereby group or collective consciousness can be obtained. There are many examples of human behaviors that suggest collective consciousness. For example, although large numbers of people deeply mourned the death of Princess Diana, they felt that the depth of their grief was way out of proportion to the feelings they had for her before she died.

Experts theorize that collective consciousness is catalytic and self-feeding. As such, they believe that if the collective consciousness represents a negative emotion, it adversely affects society. For example, in a ‘you-strengthen-what–you-fear perspective’, a fear of bird flu epidemic could be aggravated by the fear-based collective consciousness associated with catching the virus. On the other hand, if a group awareness represents positive emotions like love, empathy, and compassion, it is humanity enhancing and pleasing to God. This does not promote the concept of the ostrich – when you are faced with danger stick your head in the sand.

Einstein showed that mass is just another form of energy. Consciousness, itself, is energy. It follows then that consciousness can create our physical reality, especially when collectively amplified. This is not a promo for the “name it and claim it” sort of consciousness. However, the fear based approach to health as practiced in some of the lesser quality hospitals in the USA definitely encourages the individuals and their families to lose hope and stop trying. When a person lays down and stops fighting, the battle is over. If that person chooses to continue the battle, it is much easier for the collective resonance of the energy fields of the body to come once again into harmony, and drive out discord (dis-ease). It becomes much easier then for the physician to “reawaken” the healing powers in someone tossed aside as surely dead by their inept physician.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1

When reflected in prayer, group consciousness can facilitate powerful healing. British physicist and theologian Dr. John Polkinghorne, compares group prayer to laser light, which is powerful because its waves are in synchrony. He also regards the mind, soul and body as different aspects of the same underlying reality – “dual aspect monism” – “there is only one stuff in the world (not two – the material and the mental) but it can occur in two contrasting states (material and mental phases, a physicist might say) which explain our perception of the difference between mind and matter.” He believes that standard physical causation cannot adequately describe the manifold ways in which things and people interact, and uses the phrase “active information” to indicate his belief that when, energetically, many outcomes are possible, there may be higher levels of causation that choose which occurs.

How could one man chase a thousand, or two put ten thousand to flight, except . . . the Lord? Deuteronomy 32:30

According to Dr. Walter Weston, United Methodist Church, when synchronizing energy fields we can generate immense, exponential power. For example, the power of two people praying would be four times that of a single person (2 x 2), and the power of 10 people praying would be 100 times that of a single person (10 x 10). A large church congregation of 1,000 unified in prayer would have 1 million times the praying power of a single person (1,000 x 1,000). Given the potential healing provided through group prayer, mechanisms have been established in which individuals can be prayed for by groups (see Dr. Larry Dossey’s “Prayer is Good Medicine”, 1996).

Conclusion:

Although the times they are a-changing (Bob Dylan), modern medicine is still generally viewing the human body as a collection of parts that must function and, as a result, be healed according to the science defined by classical, Newtonian physics. Modern AMA style medicine has rejected either directly or indirectly the view or the need to treat all aspects of the individual, and instead has chosen to treat the disease (which “happens to be” harbored in a locally separated part of a human). With this view of health, spirituality has had no role and western medicine has retreated into the dark ages.

In contrast, spirituality is an integral part of many holistic, alternative medicine traditions. Perhaps this is one reason why so many Americans have been turning to these traditions. They want to be treated from a body, soul, and spirit perspective – and are listening to their hearts.
