Pulsed Magnetic Field Therapy

The object of this paper is to present a notable reason my patients (and many others) have experienced healing benefits by using “Pulsed Magnetic Field” (PMF) therapy. Therapy was provided via the “INDUMED” unit formerly produced by the Med-Tronik firm. Due to patent disputes manufacture of that device was discontinued years ago. Current models of that unit as manufactured by Advanced Medical Systems are now available through OIRF. Benefit is slow but progressive and astounding. PMF is always combined with other natural therapies when I use it for patient care.

Benefits for Cancer Patients

A research report: “The effect of weak stationary and alternating magnetic fields adjusted to the cyclotron frequencies of polar amino acid ions results in functional inactivation of the Rous sarcoma virus recombinant reverse transcriptase coupled with proteolysis of the enzyme.”
The results obtained show that in principle it is possible to induce predefined structural–functional modifications of key molecular processes, including those directly determining the functioning of the cell genomic systems, via the resonance effect of weak electromagnetic fields (EMF). In this connection, it seems promising to study the possibility of structural–functional modification of different classes of protein macromolecules, in particular, the key enzyme systems of pathogenic retroviruses. RNA-dependent DNA polymerases (reverse transcriptases, RT) are the key enzymes in the development cycle of retroviruses causing various human and animal oncological diseases and AIDS.

Benefits in Auto-Immune Disorders and Inflammatory Processes:

Weak magnetic fields are able to amplify phagocytic activity of PMNLs together with enhanced superoxide anion production (luminometry, INT test). This process is probably followed by induction of superoxide dismutase (SOD) bound to endothelium. Induced SOD reduces superoxide anion and H₂O₂ is created. As superoxide anion inhibits catalase activity, H₂O₂ is not decomposed and is able to destroy oxidatively the most potent phagocytosis activators, – leukotriens.

This proposed mechanism can explain controversial findings that magnetic fields can effectively influence both sterile and microbially induced inflammations. In cases of microbially induced inflammations enhanced phagocytosis is responsible for fast inflammation suppression in the exposed area. On the other hand this phenomenon explains temporary impairment of rheumatic patients within the first exposure period, when enhanced concentration of superoxide anion amplifies inflammatory signs. After these events SOD induction must be considered together with leukotriens destruction and this can explain the subsequent improvement.

Healing Acceleration

Healing acceleration was proved not only in bones but also in soft tissues. A non-specific stimulus on the cytoplasma membrane activates a chain of biochemical reactions resulting in changed cAMP/cGMP ratio. This event is initiated by induction of NAD(P)H-OX binding to the cytoplasma membrane that represents a source of superoxide anion. Moreover by means of these receptors cellular respiration is activated, respiratory chains are another source of superoxide anions. Cellular respiration is activated through changed cytoplasma membrane permeability for H⁺, i.e. increased proton influx causes a reduction of intracellular pH and respiration is activated.

Inflammation Suppression and Improved Macro- and Microcirculation

Another positive phenomenon is inflammation suppression and improved macro- and microcirculation. ATP, and ADP catabolism, together with an improvement in perfusion and the presence of xanthine-OX results in a strong and a sudden superoxide anion synthesis source, which can only be partially detoxified by SOD with its existing activation level. In consequence peroxidation of lipid structures and -SH groups of proteins, enzymes included, occurs, with all the negative consequences for cellular metabolism. this same mechanism can also be partially responsible for positive results in malignant tumor therapy. It is known that in the majority of malignant cells antioxidant enzyme activity is at very low levels or even absent. So every enhancement of radical flux acts on these cells as a strong toxin.

Not surprisingly, exposures that do not cause damage in healthy cells caused serious damage in tumor cells and potentiated the action of certain types of cytostatic agents. For safe use of PMF therapy daily exposure duration should not exceed 60 minutes.⁽²⁾

Now, as a little side note, how about considering the use of viral infections as a means of biological warfare (What a concept!)? I realize the following excerpts were meant to make easier the study of viruses, but the step from studying a virus to genetic manipulation and use in biological warfare has already occurred! Of course, logically you will want to prepare yourself (as a physician) to be ready to treat via PMF combined with your favorite therapies the myriad of viruses that will be coming down the chute.

Synchronized Infection of Cell Cultures by Magnetically Controlled Virus

Abstract: Human immunodeficiency virus type 1-based lentivirus preparations were rendered magnetically reactive by association with magnetite nanoparticles, 50 nm in diameter. Application of a magnetic field resulted in immediate redistribution of the viral inoculum to the cell-associated state and completion of the productive adsorption process within 1 min. Independent of adsorption time, viral concentration, and diffusion rate, infection subsequently progressed by the receptor-mediated entry mechanism.⁽³⁾

Enhancing of Measles Virus Infection by Magnetofection

Abstract: Magnetofection is a viral and non-viral gene delivery method using polyethyleneimine-conjugated super-paramagnetic nanoparticle under a magnetic field. Previous studies have indicated that magnetofection enhanced the infection of adenoviruses and retroviruses. It is shown that magnetofection enhances the infection of measles virus, a paramyxovirus, by 30- to 70-fold.⁽⁴⁾

Lakhovsky Oscillating Circuit

Georges Lakhovsky was a Polish scientist who in the 1920s experimented with using electricity as a way to heal people of cancer. He wrote The Secret of Life in which he offered one of the first conceptualizations of the electromagnetic qualities of the earth. He theorized for instance that birds took migratory clues from voltage differences in the earth’s atmosphere. He also attempted to understand the electromagnetism of underground rivers and different rock formations, coining the term geopathic stress. He suggested that certain geological features such as soil composition or underground rivers might have negative impacts on human health.

Lakhovsky thought that cancer was caused by certain cells vibrating out of harmony with the others. If you could restore the correct vibration to the diseased or cancerous cells, you could heal people of cancer. He developed a particular circuit that healed many people before his laboratory was shut down as quackery. At first he used a generator to vibrate his circuit, but then he discovered that the circuit vibrated by itself as a result of resonance. Scalar Resonance

A scalar wave is by definition a wave that is exactly matched by another wave, i.e. has the same frequency and the same height or amplitude but has the opposite direction, such that one wave exactly cancels out the other. The result however is not zero, but rather another dimension is accessed.

Schumann Resonance

In 1952 the physicist W. O. Schumann discovered that the space between the crust of the earth and the ionosphere created a cavity that resonated like a musical instrument. Schumann discovered that within this cavity an electromagnetic field oscillates at a resonant frequency of 7 to 10 beats per second. This is identical to the optimal functioning of human brain waves. Anything we can do to strengthen our resonance to the Schumann Resonance would be of tremendous value to our overall health and to our ability to heal ourselves.
