Triumphant Animal Poisons

An Interview with Andreas Holzknecht, Heilpraktiker

From multiple sclerosis, Crohn’s disease, rheumatism and exhaustion to cancer, Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s – Heilpraktiker Andreas Holzknecht usually has to deal with severe chronic or so-called “untreatable” [where conventional therapy has failed] cases in his everyday practice.

Then he draws the poison card. He has already been able to help numerous people with specially processed animal toxins. Here the crux of the matter is enzymes that are involved in all processes in the body.

raum &zeit: You have been working with the Horvi enzyme preparations for 30 years. How did you come into this?
HP Andreas Holzknecht: That was within the scope of my internship with an old, very experienced naturopath. He was a representative of traditional naturopathy, which says: Regulation before manipulation! However today’s approach pounces on the symptoms: Rheumatism – what can I do or give for that? Nevertheless, it makes much more sense to penetrate to the true core of the disease event. In many cases, this is an enzyme defect. Especially with severe chronic diseases, a defective enzyme chain is the cause – and I can repair it with these specific enzyme products so that the body can regulate itself again. That’s why many naturopaths say: If nothing else works, Horvi works.

r&z: Defective enzyme chains — can you please explain that in more detail?
A. Holzknecht: Enzymes initiate and control chemical reactions in human cells. They are involved in almost all processes in the organism, especially in metabolic processes. Their occurrence and functioning are a prerequisite for the respective processes to run correctly and balanced, and as a result for the body to be healthy and stable. For example, damage to enzyme chains can have an impact on vegetative or hormonal systems, which can result in so-called healing blockages. Consequently, enzymes also occupy a key role in the treatment of many diseases. They are an important factor in almost all biochemical processes in the organism. Enzymes are very specific in terms of their mode of action, but can be well regulated with a suitable therapy – and with them the entire cell metabolism. This provides a starting point with the enzymes with which many processes, including also many different disease processes, can be therapeutically influenced. What can be the causes of illness? Enzyme defects or vegetative derailments. The body is healthy as long as it can regulate and compensate.

“Enzymes”: Nothing works without them

The term enzyme comes from the Greek and means “in the leaven” (“en zyme”). Enzymes are indispensable protein building blocks for the metabolism of all organisms. They act as biocatalysts, fueling or slowing down biochemical processes in the body. For example, they control breathing, digestion, energy production, blood clotting, healing processes after injuries and inflammations or the extremely complex processes of the immune system: Everything is enzyme-controlled – in every second of our lives! Every second, an estimated 30 quadrillion metabolic processes take place in the human organism with the help of around 15,000 enzymes at different levels. So far, researchers have been able to identify around 3,000 enzymes. It is interesting to note that enzymes are not consumed in the metabolism, but are back in their original form at the end of the reaction. Structurally, all enzymes are made up of amino acids and are very sensitive. If enzymes contain components that are not amino acids, they are referred to as co-factors (e.g. vitamins). Without vitamins, many enzymes do not function properly – metabolic disorders occur. And: Enzymes can only fully develop their diverse effect at certain pH values (acid-base balance!) and temperatures.

Enzymes control every second of our lives
Defective enzyme chains are therefore causally responsible for many diseases.

r&z: In your experience, where can the Horvi enzymes help especially well?
A. Holzknecht: This applies to inflammation, auto-immune problems, hormonal disorders, organic diseases and much more – that is, especially in chronic diseases (such as rheumatism, Crohn’s disease), for autoimmune therapy (e.g. Hashimoto’s), allergies, cardiovascular diseases or neurological problems as well as many other fields of disease. I even claim to be able to cure the severe chronic inflammatory bowel diseases Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis with the Horvi remedy C33 in drop form. That’s a daring thesis, I know. A variety of possible connections are in the range as triggers. And yet only one therapy is supposed to help? Yes, because the C33 is the symbiosis remedy for the entire body. This means that it stabilizes the milieu throughout the body – thus making probiotics superfluous. I also like to put Horvi at the beginning of a therapy because it generally removes blockages or interference fields in the body. Also I have already been able to help many patients with difficult-to-treat endometriosis. The remedy Serpalgin is a painkiller par excellence – very applicable for neuralgia – and also helps with phantom pains. It also has a tonus-regulating effect on smooth muscles, such as the bile ducts, uterus or bronchi. The fact that it also works against bronchial asthma was a chance finding of mine: Actually, I had treated a patient for hay fever – but she then told me that her asthma had also improved with it. With multiple sclerosis there is also something that can be done for the better. I am currently treating a patient who was already incontinent in a wheelchair and can now come to my practice again with crutches on her own two feet and no longer needs adult diapers.

Damage to enzyme chains can have an impact on vegetative and hormonal systems, which can result in so-called healing blockages.

“Animal poisons are a true pharmacy for us!”

r&z: Can you briefly outline the nature of the effect using an example?
A. Holzknecht: We all know the saying that only the dose makes the poison. Even Hippocrates or later Paracelsus ventured repeatedly into the therapeutic threshold. Curare, for example, is an Indian arrow poison from a tree root that paralyzes the nerves. As a Horvi preparation, however, it is a nerve therapeutic. Here, similar to the operating principle of homeopathy, it is to cure like with like. That’s why Horvi can also be used for nervous diseases of all kinds: multiple sclerosis, neuralgia, but also Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.

Enzymes play a key role in the treatment of many diseases.

How can enzymes help?

Enzymes have important regulatory and control tasks in the organism. They are able to remedy disorders in the cells in a targeted manner. They act intracellularly. In doing so, they start at the beginning of everything. They fight the consequences of disease pathogens or promote healing in inflammatory processes, they activate and strengthen the immune system on the one hand and on the other hand they bring an overreacting immune system (autoimmune diseases or allergies) back again to a normal status. In addition, enzymes reliably prevent sugar from being converted into lactate during glycolysis (glucose metabolism) and thus flooding the cell with toxic ferments, which in turn can cause them to degenerate and thus lead to cancer.

r&z: What are the limitations or contraindications?
A. Holzknecht: There are a few medications with which the Horvi enzymes do not work together: For example, when patients are given Botox or immunosuppressants (r&z Editor’s Note: The same also applies to monoclonal antibody therapy, which is used in tumor treatments, for example). In addition, you should not mix the Horvi products with anything else: It is not good if the body has to work in two directions. But that doesn’t mean that Horvi therapy cannot be combined with other therapies. Quite the opposite: Horvi is perfect in combination with phytotherapy, with alpha-lipoic acid or with choline citrates, which in turn regulate the vagus and sympathetic nervous systems and are used as infusions in naturopathic practice for stress and exhaustion. Very important to know: Horvi has no long-term effects or side effects with long-term use – except for possible local reactions. But the Horvi enzymes also have a very excellent prophylactic effect. After all, they start at a very elementary level.

Horvi Enzyme Preparations

About 70 years ago, the German pharmacologist Waldemar Diesing discovered that a wide range of enzymes are present in animal poisons. He developed a process that makes poisons from toads, salamanders, spiders, scorpions and snakes harmless to the human body. To do this, the raw poisons or pure toxins must be “deproteined”, as their protein triggers strong allergic reactions in the human body, among other things. Diesing succeeded in lowering the so-called protein carrier bridge of the toxins from 85 percent to around two percent. The protein should not be completely removed, otherwise the healing enzyme complex (accounts for 15 percent of animal poison) would also be destroyed. This was the birth of Horvi Enzyme Therapy.

r&z: Why is such a valuable therapy so unknown?
A. Holzknecht: Is it possible that therapists or patients are deterred by some more complicated Horvi applications or “poison therapy”? Additionally, there is unfortunately no regulated advanced training or continuing education. For me, however, the Horvi preparations have become indispensable. Especially in chronically ill or so-called “untreatable” patients, this type of enzyme is unbeatable. Many patients who come to me put their last hope in naturopathy and say: “This is my last straw now.” Because the Horvi enzymes aim at the natural recovery of cell metabolism and organic processes, they can be used for a wide range of diseases and problems. As a result it is important to know: Horvi has an intracellular effect! Prophylactic or in severe cases – the treatment is the same: First of all, it is important to raise the enzyme level, then healing can happen. Animal proteins are a true pharmacy for us. This applies not only to snake or toad venoms, but also to the saliva of leeches, for example. This provokes a 24-hour bloodletting thanks to its blood-thinning enzymes and the long bleeding after its bite.
