Dear Friend,
The weekend of February 4th saw the launch of a worldwide effort to discredit homeopathy. A stunt labeled as a “mass overdose” was staged in countries all over the world by a group calling themselves 10:23. This group has the strong support of business interests seeking to destroy homeopathy.
This attack is just one in a series of sophisticated, well organized and recent attacks that include secretly videotaping homeopaths in the hope of embarrassing the profession, launching advertising campaigns tying homeopathy to subjects like the occult, pressuring major retailers like Walmart to pull all homeopathic products from their shelves, and working with government agencies in an attempt to destroy homeopathy’s standing – to name just a few. Now we are seeing an organized movement in pharmaceutical circles to strongly discourage pharmacies large and small from selling homeopathic products. In fact, a January 2011 pharmaceutical journal went so far as to hysterically announce that “…homeopathy has grown to an alarming extent in the United States…” Alarming extent?
My friends, we have warned of this impending storm before. What was once a series of isolated incidents is now becoming a full-blown and persistent assault on our beloved system of medicine. The basic rights we enjoy as Americans are being threatened by business interests who seek to control your medical options in the name of corporate profits. They must be stopped.
What can be done? The National Center for Homeopathy is working around the clock with our allies in Europe and Canada to monitor these threats and respond to them in a coordinated and effective fashion. In early February of this year, NCH along with our international partners fashioned a counter effort to the 10:23 campaign that helped limit media interest and reduce the viral spread of falsehoods about homeopathy on the internet and Twitter. NCH was able to mobilize literally hundreds of people in common cause.
Sadly, this effort to see homeopathy destroyed is just gathering momentum. Today a major campaign was launched by a group funded by magician James Randi to stop retailers like Rite-Aid, Walgreens and CVS from selling homeopathic remedies.
NCH is well organized and ready to aggressively protect homeopathy . . .
Help us today if you can. This threat is VERY real . . .
And remember proudly – homeopathy is a 200-year-old system of medicine used successfully by more than 100 million patients worldwide. It has a laudable and extensively documented clinical record, and there are literally hundreds of high-quality, peer-reviewed basic science, pre-clinical and clinical studies showing that it works.
Together we can and will protect homeopathy for generations to come.

The following segment is excerpted from the March 2011 informational letter received from the National Center for Homeopathy. It’s interesting how these battles continue, and continue to repeat themselves. This is the same battle that was fought over acupuncture back when the Institute first opened its doors in Weston, Ontario those many years ago.
I have included this excerpt in this Issue for two reasons:
